Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic sportive gymnastics (RSG) is an artistic sport, similar to artistic gymnastics. The                                                                             difference is that artistic works on equipment (events: bars, balance beam, vault and floor)                                                                           and Rhythmic only works on floor, It involves two kinds of techniques: body movements and                                                                         apparatus handling. These apparatus include the hoop, the ball, the clubs, the ribbon, and the                                                                       rope.

This sport is more oriented toward developing grace, posture, smoothness, and connection                                                                          with musical accompaniment than other artistic sports. Therefore, participants may not                                                                                include elements that require muscular strength or acrobatic exercises.
